Whitby Town v NFU (Evo Prem)

Whitby Town v North Ferriby United
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Wednesday 6th March 2013  KO 7.45 pm

League leaders Ferriby travel to Whitby Town on Wednesday looking for three points to strengthen their position at the top of the Evostik Premier Division.

Whitby are in a comfortable mid-table position and have improved after a poor start to the season. Although Whitby probably have nothing but pride to play for, this will still be a stern test for Ferriby.

Ferriby's draw at title rivals FC United on Sunday was a good performance from Billy Heath's team. The result was probably a fair one in the end with Ferriby having the better of the first half  and FC United doing better in the second. An entertaining game was spoilt in the first 30 minutes by FC United players constantly arguing with the referee over decisions that went against them.

Ferriby Manager Billy Heath said; "This was a really good performance. We competed well against a good team. I thought we were the better team in the first half and they had the better of the second. A draw was a fair result in the end."

It is going to be a busy and exciting time over the next two months for Ferriby as they attempt to win promotion and the League and east Riding Senior Cups.

Heath should have a full squad to choose from apart. The only doubts are Russell Fry and Danny Clarke. Fry suffered a deadleg on Sunday and Clarke faces a foot injury; he faces a fitness test on Tuesday following a foot injury.

Probable Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Paul Robson,  Steve Ridley, Steve Gardner, Gregg Anderson, Paul Foot, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Anthony Wilson, Ryan Kendall, Gary Bradshaw, Oliver Banks
