Stocksbridge PS v NFU (Evo Prem)

Stocksbridge Park Steels v  North Ferriby United
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Tuesday 9th October KO 7.45 pm

Ferriby travel to struggling Stocksbridge Park Steels looking for three points to consolidate their fifth place in the division.

Stocksbridge will have been boosted by  their first league win of the season at Grantham on Saturday.

Last season's defeat at Stocksbridge was probably the low point of Ferriby's season. Ferriby's  players will, no doubt,  be determined to erase that memory.

Ferriby had to work hard to beat Matlock on Saturday. Once again, this was a match that could have been won by a higher margin. The approach play was positive and it needed some determined defending from Matlock to limit the score.

Liam King had a superb game in midfield and played the second-half with three stitches in a head wound.

The result was tempered by a red card for striker Gary Bradshaw. He was sent-off in the final minute for receiving two yellow cards. Both decisions seemed a little harsh. Both teams were frustrated by the referee's decisions, especially in the number of yellow cards he gave,

Paul Foot misses the game due to suspension. Liam King's stitches in his  head wound should not stop him playing at Stocksbridge.

Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Steve Gardner, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Mark Gray, Gregg Anderson, Gary Bradshaw, Russell Fry,  Danny Clarke, Jack Muldoon, Ryan Kendall, Ryan WilliamsDean Lisles, Ben Hunter, Steve Ridley
