Rushall Olympic v North Ferriby United
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Saturday 1 September 2012 KO 3.00 pm
North Ferriby United travel to the West Midlands to palce third-placed Rushall Olympic on Saturday. Rushall are one of three teams with maximum points from their opening four games and will provide a tough test for Ferriby.
There will be an extra edge to the game as Ferriby beat Rushall in the Final of last season's Doodson Sport League Cup Final.
The Villagers gained their first win of the season on Monday with a 4-0 demolition of Frickley Athletic. Manager Billy Heath was "reasonably pleased" with his side's performance. He will be expecting his players to keep the momentum going at Rushall.
Ferriby's mixed start has been disappointing. They have played in fits and starts and this has cost them points in games they should have one.
Ferriby's strike force has only found the goal once but their pace and movement has created chances and goals for other players. Against Frickley the midfield players closed down Frickley for the whole game and provided a platform for Ferriby's own attacks. The defence was rarely troubled and dealt comfortably with the limited threat provided by Frickley.
Chris Bolder is available again following a four-match suspension gained at the end of last season. Chris White is unavailable and Kevin Larvin remains injured.
Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Dean Lisles, Nathan Peat, Paul Foot, Gregg Anderson, Gary Bradshaw, Russell Fry, Lee Morris, Danny Clarke, Mark Gray, Jack Muldoon, Neil Stevens, Liam King, Ryan Kendall, Timothy Taylor James Williams, Chris Bolder, Ben Hunter, Chris Hall, Steve Gardner, Steve Ridley
