Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
North Ferriby United v Whitby Town
Ferriby play the second of two Bank Holiday weekend fixtures on Easter Monday when they entertain Whitby Town at the Rapid solicitors Stadium.
Whitby will be desperate for points on Monday as they are locked in to a very tight relegation battle at the bottom of the Premier Division. Recent results have seen them move out of the relegation spots but they are still very much in a relegation battle.
There has been a healthy rivalry between Ferriby and Whitby since the clubs first met in the FA Vase Final in 1997 but Billy Heath will not be expecting his team to do the visitors any favours. Heath is looking for Ferriby to finish as high as possible in the Evostik Premier Division and will be disappointed with anything less than a top 10 finish.
Saturday's one-all draw at Rushall Olympic in the Doodson Sport League Cup Final dress rehearsal was probably a fair result. On a very uneven pitch, Ferriby could not get their usual passing game going. It was a test of Ferriby's strength and character and Manager Billy Heath will be pleased with the attitude displayed by his players.
Heath will be without Steve Gardner who is suspended and Kevin Larvin who is injured and is likely to be out until the League Cup Final. Gary Bradshaw returns from suspension. New signing Dean Lisles will probably make his home debut against Whitby.
Probable Ferriby Squad: Adam Nicklin, Steve Wilson, Dean Lisles, Nathan Peat, Paul Foot, James Williams, Sam Denton, Gregg Anderson, Chris Bolder, Russell Fry, Lee Morris, Ben Hunter, Gary Bradshaw, Timothy Taylor, Danny Clarke, Tom Richardson, Wayne Brooksby, Sam Belcher
