NFU v Stocksbridge Steels (Evo Prem)

North Ferriby United  v Stocksbridge Park Steels
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Saturday 9 March 2013  KO 3.00 pm

Ferriby will be looking for three points against struggling Stocksbridge Park Steels to maintain their four point lead at the top of the table.

Stocksbridge are in the relegation zone and will be desperate for points to stay up.

Manager Billy Heath will be urging his team to be patient, "Stocksbridge will probably come and put most of their players behind the ball to make life difficult for us. My players will have to be patient and play the ball around to create openings. This is another big game for us, as are all our games to the end of the season."

Ferriby have got some of their confidence back in the last two games and four points from two away fixtures was well-deserved. Ferriby's midweek game at Whitby Town was a potential banana skin but the team put in a marvellous all-round performance to win 4-2. Ryan Kendall's pace and movement were unstoppable and his a hat-trick was a just reward.

It is difficult to predict the title race biut it now seems a three-way fight between Ferriby, Hednesford Town and FC United of Manchester. AFC Fylde will still feel they have a chance of joining this particular party if they can win their games-in-hand.

Possible Ferriby squad: Steve Ridley, Gregg Anderson, Paul Foot, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Anthony Wilson, Ryan Kendall, Gary Bradshaw, Oliver Banks, Antoni Pecora
