NFU v Scunthorpe United (PSF)

Pre-season Friendly

North Ferriby United v Scunthorpe United

Saturday 27th July, 3.00pm

Ferriby welcome League One Scunthorpe United to the Eon Visual media Stadium on Saturday.

Scunthorpe are expected to field their first team so will provide a stern test for The Villagers.  Ferriby will be hoping for a good-sized crowd for what should be an entertaining game.  It is a measure of Ferriby's progress on and off the field that Scunthorpe are willing to play at Ferriby.

Ferriby's pre-season preparations are going well with everybody looking forward to the forthcoming Conference North season. Prior to Thursday's game at Worksop Town, Ferriby had won two of their three games and suffered a narrow defeat to Hull City's first team.

Results in pre-season fixtures often take second-place to improving fitness and developing tactics but good results do help to develop confidence.

Car parking (£2 to school funds) for the game will be available at North Ferriby Primary School. Gates open at 1.30pm. Match admission prices are £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.

Jonathan D'Laryea and Dean Lisles are still unavailable as they recover from surgery. Last Saturday's win at Lincoln United was marred by an injury to Ben Hunter following a high tackle but it is hoped he will be fit to play against Scunthorpe.

NFU's probable squad : Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Paul Robson, Nathan Peat, Gregg Anderson, Sam Belcher, Matt Wilson, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Ben Hunter, Jamie Yates, Ryan Kendall, Louis, Kirk, Danny Hone, Nathan Jarman, Anthony Wilson, Louis Bruce, Tim Taylor, Tom Davey, Ali Benson, Louis Mobbs
