NFU v Hyde FC (VCN)

Vanarama Conference North
North Ferriby United v Hyde FC

Tuesday 12th  August  2014; KO 7.45pm

Ferriby play their first Vanarama Conference home game of the season when they entertain Hyde FC on Tuesday.

Hyde were relegated from Conference National last season and lost at home to The Villagers in the FA Trophy.

Ferriby got their season off to a superb start at Stockport on Saturday. The 1-0 scoreline did not reflect their overall control and dominance of the game. Matt Wilson’s great second-half strike clinched the points but it was a good overall team performance.

Hyde lost their opener, going down 1-0 to Oxford City. However, they are still going to provide a stiff test for Ferriby.

Ferriby are hoping for a good crowd on Tuesday. With two home game this week, Ferriby will be looking to take full advantage and, hopefully, gain maximum points. The Villagers have often been notoriously slow starters but have a great opportunity to get off to a flying start.

Ferriby manager Billy Heath commented, “Saturday’s result was fantastic. It was a very good team performance and we probably should have won by more. It was a great way to begin the season and we must build on it this week.”

Apart from Danny Hone who is carrying-over a three match suspension from last season, Heath should have his full squad available on Tuesday.

NFU’s probable squad : Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Dean Lisles, Josh Wilde, Nathan Peat, Gregg Anderson, Matt Wilson, Mark Gray, Liam King, Jon D’Laryea, Adam Bolder, Danny Emerton, Russell Fry,  Nathan Jarman, Tom Denton, Tom Corner, Jamie Yates, Louis Bruce, Tim Taylor, Dan Clayton, Matty Kingston

Ferriby are at home to Hyde FC on Tuesday evening. The game kicks-off at 7.45.
