NFU v Grimsby Town (SPF)

Pre-season Friendly

North Ferriby United v Grimsby Town

Tuesday 30th July, 7.00pm

Ferriby welcome Skrill Conference Premier side Grimsby Town to the Eon Visual Media Stadium on Tuesday. Town will provide another strong test for The Vllagers

Ferriby will be full of confidence after their win over League Two Scunthorpe United on Saturday. Scunthorpe fielded the players who are expected to open the club's league campaign but they were beaten by a skilful and determined performance by Ferriby.

Ferriby Manager Billy Heath was delighted with his players' performance, "It was an excellent all-round team performance. We played some attractive football and closed-down Scunthorpe well."

Ferriby are having a good pre-season. They are building-up towards their peak in anticipation of their first Skrill North fixture on August 17th.

Against Scunthorpe Ferriby were actually missing five players who many people would expect to be in the sixteen who will start against Gloucester.

Ferriby now seem to have a strength in depth that they have not had before. One of the most pleasing aspects of Ferriby's games so far has been the performance of the younger and less experienced players when they have come on as second-half substitutes.  They have looked assured and confident and have played as well as the starting eleven.

The match kicks-off at the earlier time of 7.00pm. Match admission prices are £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.

Heath should have his full squad to choose from. Jonathan D'Laryea is expected to play for part of the game.

NFU's probable squad : Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Paul Robson, Nathan Peat, Gregg Anderson, Sam Belcher, Jonathan D'Laryea, Matt Wilson, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Ben Hunter, Jamie Yates, Ryan Kendall, Louis, Kirk, Danny Hone, Nathan Jarman, Anthony Wilson, Louis Bruce, Tim Taylor, Tom Davey, Ali Benson, Louis Mobbs
