North Ferriby United v Grimsby Town
Tuesday 12 July 2016
Kick-off: 7.00 pm
Ferriby play their second pre-season game on Tuesday when Second Division Grimsby Town visit The Eon Visual Media Stadium. The game kicks-off at 7.00pm and is not all ticket. Admission is £10 and £5
Had Grimsby not been promoted at the end of last season the two sides would have been facing each other in the National League this season.
The games will give the Ferriby players a chance to test themselves against a full-time professional side. Grimsby will certainly be a different proposition to Hall Road Rangers who The Villagers beat on Saturday.
The Hall Road fixture saw Ferriby run out as comfortable 5-0 victors. It was a competent performance. Manager Steve Housham fielded two different sides in each half to give 45 minutes playing time to as many players as possible. A large number of triallists were on view.
“Darryn (Stamp, assistant manager), and myself have learnt a lot today about the players. The score-line is not really important.
“We will use fewer players against Grimsby as we try to build-up the playing time. It is going to be a tough game and it is up to the players to show Darryn and myself what they can do.”
Tuesday’s squad will consist of a large number of those who played against Hall Road but there are likely to be appearances for Danny Emerton, Mark Gray, Rory Watson and Sam Topliss at some point in the evening.

Car parking will be available at North Ferriby School costing £2 with monies going towards the School Funds.
