NFU v FC Halifax Town

North Ferriby United  v FC Halifax Town

Saturday 11 August. KO 3.00 pm

Ferriby finish their pre-season preparations when Blue Square Bet Conference North FC Halifax Town visit the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Saturday.

Manager Billy Heath may well use this final opportunity to play most of his squad as he begins to finalise his team for the opening Evostik Northern Premier Leaguematch at home to Buxton on the 18 August.

Heath was disappointed with some aspects of the team's performance at Chester last Saturday. Late illness and injuries meant that he was left with basically just enough players to make a squad for the match.

Chester's first two goals were carbon-copy moves from corners and Heath was frustrated that his defence was caught-out so easily.

At the other end of the field, The Villagers did not force home goalkeeper john Danby in to a serious save all afternoon.

Despite the defeat at Chester, Ferriby's pre-season form has been good. FC Halifax Town will provide a stern test for Ferriby. There has been an intensity to Ferriby's pre-season fixtures that has not always been evident in previous seasons and Saturday's match promises to be an entertaining game.

Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, James Williams, Steve Gardner, Nathan Peat, Paul Foot, Gregg Anderson, Chris Bolder, Gary Bradshaw, Russell Fry, Lee Morris, Danny Clarke, Chris White, Steve Ridley, Ben Hunter, Mark Gray, Chris Hall, Jack Muldoon, Neil Stevens, Liam King, Ryan Kendall, Timothy Taylor

Admission prices have been reduced to  £5 (£3 concessions) and £1 for under-16s.
