NFU v Buxton (Evo Prem)

Saturday 10 September 3.00pm

Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division

North Ferriby v Buxton

Management duo John Anderson and Justin Whittle will be  looking for their side to gain something from Saturday's visit of Buxton to the Rapid Solicitors Stadium. Tuesday's defeat at home to Frickley was disappointing. After debutant Sam Mulready scored a debut goal, The Villagers conceded two late goals to lose in what could only be called "a smash and grab raid".

Ferriby pretty much dominated Tuesday's match. Paul Harsley controlled midfield and Nathan Peat had a good game at the centre of Ferriby's defence.

Buxton have not had good start to their own league game, but like most teams in The Evostik Premier Division they are usually a difficult team to beat

Saturday could prove a test for Anderson's small first team squad. Central defender had to be substituted because of a hamstring injury and will not be fit. Club skipper Paul Foot is also out due to a back injury and Ben Morley suffered a reaction to his Achilles  injury when he played at Chester last Saturday and is also likely to miss the Buxton match.

The good news is that Chris Bolder looks set to return from his injury. Sam Belcher, who made his league debut as Greaves's substitute on Tuesday, may start in the centre of defence. New signing Sam Mulready, a striker from Grimsby Town, had a promising club debut on Tuesday and fully deserved his goal.

Possible Ferriby Squad: Steve Wilson, James Williams, Kevin Larvin, Sam Belcher , Nathan Peat, Chris Bolder, Russell Fry , Gary Bradshaw, Wayne Brooksby, Sam Mulready, John Leonard, Mathew Stirland, Danny Wright, Phil Jackman, Rob Moy
