NFU v AFC Fylde (Evo Prem)

North Ferriby United v AFC Fylde
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Saturday 22 December 2012  KO 3.00 pm

League leaders Ferriby entertain ambitious AFC Fylde on their first eve visit to the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Saturday. The visitors won the Evostik Division North title last season and have made clear their ambition to be in the Football League by 2022. AFC Fylde won the reverse fixture 1-0 back in August.

Ferriby still lead the Division by a point and will be looking for a win to go into Christmas still as leaders.  AFC Fylde are currently 18 points behind The Villagers but have six games in hand. Their last three games have been high scoring affairs in which they have scored nine goals and conceded ten.

Ferriby have not won for three games and the chasing pack have managed to close the gap  but Ferriby still remain in a strong position. Recent results in the division show that no team can expect any easy matches and there will be many more twists and turns before the end of the season.

Manager Billy Heath commented, "Of course I'm disappointed not to have won any of the last three matches. However, we have played good football and created chances to have won. We need to remember that we are still top and are capable of putting together another good spell of results."

Gary Bradshaw may return to the squad on Saturday following his recent injuries received in a dog attack. Steve Gardner remains a long-term injury but it is hoped he will return to the squad for the Christmas games. Striker Anthony Wilson returns after a  one-match suspension. Chris White may well remain in the squad following his welcome return to the squad at Buxton last week after an 18-month absence. Jack Muldoon has signed for Evostik One South side Sheffield on a month's loan.

Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Steve Ridley, Paul Foot, Gregg Anderson, ,Dean Lisles, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Anthony Wilson, Ryan Kendall, Gary Bradshaw, Ben Hunter, Chris White
