Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division

Matlock Town v North Ferriby Un ited

Ferriby travel to Matlock on Wednesday looking to bring an end to a run of five successive league defeats.

Caretaker managers Justin Whittle and Paul Foot will be looking to their players to tighten-up their defensive game. The Villagers currently have the second worst defensive record in the division. Ferriby have long had a reputation as an attacking side that plays attractive football backed-up by a strong defence.

Matlock are currently eight in the division but with so many clubs separated by only a few points two or three good results can make all the difference to league table positions.

Foot and Whittle will have been disappointed with the home defeat to Hednesford on Saturday as The Villagers again conceded two close range headers.

The highlight of the game was Gary Bradshaw's stunning strike which gave him his 200th goal for the Club in 333 appearances.

Definitely out for Ferriby are Foot, Chris Bolder and Ben Morley with injuries and Wayne Brooksby who is suspended.

Possible Ferriby Squad: Steve Wilson, James Williams, Kevin Larvin, Mark Greaves, Greg Wright, Sam Denton,  Gary Bradshaw, Paul Harsley, Russell Fry, Sam Mulready, John Leonard, Mathew Stirland, Danny Wright, Ben White, Luke Thompson
