Pre-season Friendly

Lincoln United v North Ferriby United

Saturday 20th  July, 3.00pm

Ferriby continue their pre-season programme when they travel to Evostik South side Lincoln United.

Ferriby's gritty and skilful display in the 3-1 defeat to Hull City on Monday drew many positive comments from City's staff and officials..  For periods in the second-half, Ferriby were the better side and City only clinched the game in the final minute.

Manager Billy Heath commented, "City controlled the first-half but we stuck to it. In the second-half we gave a really gritty performance. I was pleased with the players' performances against such a high quality team."

Heath rang the changes throughout the second-half, giving game-time to some of the club's younger players. He is likely to do the same against Lincoln. As with all pre-season games, the result takes second-place, to some extent, to the players' performances and attitude.

Assistant Manager Mark Carroll said, "Training is going well. For the moment, we have been concentrating on fitness and conditioning rather than formations and set-pieces but this will change as training progresses."

Jonathan D'Laryea and Dean Lisles are still unavailable as they recover from surgery.

NFU's probable squad : Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Dean Lisles, Paul Robson, Nathan Peat, Gregg Anderson, Sam Belcher, Matt Wilson, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Ben Hunter, Jamie Yates, Ryan Kendall, Louis, Kirk, Danny Hone, Nathan Jarman, Anthony Wilson, Louis Bruce, Tim Taylor, Tom Chippendale, Ali Benson, Louis Mobbs

Ferriby have re-arranged their fixture on Saturday 27th July and will now play League One Scunthorpe United at the Eon Visual Media Stadium with a 3.00pm kick-off. Scunthorpe will be sending their first team in what will be a stern test for The Villagers. Car parking (32 to school funds)  will be available at North Ferriby Primary School.
