Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Hednesford Town v North Ferriby United
Ferriby make their third visit in ten days to the West Midlands to play promotion hunting Hednesford Town. It will be another challenging fixture for Billy Heath's side as he continues his build-up to the Doodson sports League Cup Final.
The play-off place hunt has opened-up a little bit because the Evostik Northern premier League has expelled Northwich Victoria from the League from the end of the season due to financial irregularities. This means that they are not eligible to enter the promotion play-offs. If Hednesford win on Tuesday they will guarantee themselves a play-off spot.
Ferriby lost a two-goal lead at relegation threatened Chasetown on Saturday. Heath commented, "It was a disappointing result after going two goals in front. We allowed them to come back at us and get a point. Credit to Chasetown for not giving-up but we had enough chances to have won the game."
Heath will be looking for a competitive performance from his players at Hednesford. The West Midlands side are a strong and physical team. As with all the teams chasing promotion spots, their form has been a little mixed over recent matches as the tension has increased. Heath will be hoping that his side can ratchet-up that tension for the home side.
Steve Gardner picked-up a slight injury on Saturday and it is hoped he will be fit to play. Kevin Larvin is also injured and may be out until the Doodson Sport League Cup Final on 28 April. On-loan Dean Lisles was recalled by Guiseley for their weekend match but it is hoped he will be available for Ferriby on Tuesday.
Probable Ferriby Squad: Adam Nicklin, Steve Wilson, Steve Gardner, Nathan Peat, Paul Foot, James Williams, Sam Denton, Gregg Anderson, Chris Bolder, Russell Fry, Lee Morris, Gary Bradshaw, Ben Hunter, Timothy Taylor, Danny Clarke, Wayne Brooksby, Sam Belcher
The Club is running at least one supporters' coach to the League Cup Final at Eastwood Town on Saturday 28 April. Bookings can be made via email to email@example.com or by contacting any committee member.
