Vanarama Conference North
Guiseley v North Ferriby United
Tuesday 21st April 2015 ; KO 7.45 pm
Ferriby make the short trip to West Yorkshire to face Guiseley on Tuesday. The Villagers will be seeking all three points as they look for a top-halfof the table finish.
Saturday’s draw at Leamington brought an end to Ferriby’s four game losing sequence. The Villagers were punished for two defensive errors and, once again, saw a goal disallowed for no apparent reason.
Guiseley have already qualified for the promotion play-offs and are in a battle with Chorley and Boston for third, fourth and fifth place. Consequently, it is going to be another difficult game for The Villagers.
The reverse league fixture at the Eon Visual Media Stadium in November ended in a 4-4 draw. This was one of Ferriby’s 15 league draws this season.
Ferriby will be wanting a good result at Guiseley but they are going to have to lift their game and reduce their defensive errors. The Vanarama Conference is a very competitive league and teams are very quick to punish mistakes, as Ferriby have found to their cost in recent games.
Manager Billy Heath commented, “We need to find some consistency against Guiseley. It’s going to be an extremely difficult game because they will be desperate for the points in order to finish as high as possible
Adam Nicklin remains injured. Other than him, Heath should have a full squad to choose from.
