Goole AFC v NFU (PSF)

Pre-season Friendly
Goole AFC v North Ferriby United

Tuesday 29th July 2014; KO 7.30pm

Ferriby continue their pre-season programme when they travel to Evostik South side Goole AFC on Tuesday.

Ferriby remain unbeaten so far in their pre season games. They have scored 18 times and conceded just one, Shane Long’s penalty for Premier league neighbours Hull City.

Saturday’s game at home to Ilkeston was a good test for The Villagers. Once again, the match was played in hot and humid conditions and Ferriby’s fitness is a testament to the players themselves and the coaching staff.

Ferriby deserved Saturday’s 2-0 win. They had the by far the better of the first-half but Ilkeston came back strongly in the second and forced Adam Nicklin into making some good saves.

Ferriby’s pressing game made life difficult for the visitors who were often forced to play back to their own goal rather than go forward.

With just two games left before the Conference North season begins, Heath will, no doubt, give all/most his players some game-time against Goole.

As with all pre-season games, it is the performances of individual players and the cohesiveness of the team that really matters. However, Ferriby will take nothing but confidence from their results so far.

Manager Billy Heath should have his full squad available for the final two games.

NFU’s probable squad : Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Dean Lisles, Josh Wilde, Nathan Peat, Gregg Anderson, Matt Wilson, Danny Hone, Mark Gray, Liam King, Jon D’Laryea, Adam Bolder, Danny Emerton, Russell Fry,  Nathan Jarman, Tom Denton, Tom Corner, Jamie Yates, Louis Bruce, Tim Taylor, Dan Clayton, Matty Kingston

Remaining pre-season game
