Corby Town v NFU ( FAT 3Q)

Saturday 26th  November 3.00pm

FA Trophy Third qualifying Round
Corby Town v North Ferriby United

Ferriby travel to Steel Park for their first ever meeting with Corby Town on Saturday.

Corby are currently sixth in Blue Square Bet Conference North and will provide a stiff challenge for The Villagers as they attempt to make progress in the FA Trophy.

The Trophy provides the opportunity to increase Ferriby's profile and offers the possibility of gaining some financial success.

Ferriby are unlikely to be daunted by the match. They have played Conference North sides  Gainsborough Trinity and Vauxhall Motors in cup competitions in the last two seasons and have not actually lost a match in open play. Ferriby went out on both occasions in penalty shoot-outs after a replay.

Ferriby Manager Billy Heath was somewhat disappointed with Tuesday's defeat at Frickley but he will be expecting his team to lift themselves at Corby. He would like to progress in the Trophy but maintaining a place in the Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division remains the priority for this season.

Ferriby are a relative young side with most players under thirty. Most of the side has a good deal of experience at Evostik League level and playing Conference teams develops that experience.

Matty Plummer is cup-tied for the FA Trophy and Ben Morley is likely to be unavailable as he may have a recurrence of his recent Achilles injury. Other than these two, Heath should have a full squad to choose from.

Probable Ferriby Squad: Steve Wilson, Adam Nicklin, James Williams, Kevin Larvin,  Nathan Peat, Paul Foot, Greg Wright, Sam Denton, Chris Bolder, Peter Davidson, Paul Harsley, Russell Fry, Gary Bradshaw, Alex Davidson, Danny Clarke, Luke Thompson, Wayne Brooksby,
