Pre-season friendly
Bridlington Town v North Ferriby United
Saturday 23 July 2016
Kick-off: 3.00 pm
Ferriby make the short trip to the coast on Saturday to plae Northern Counties East side Bridlington Town. The game kicks off at 3.00 pm.
The match is Ferriby’s fifth pre-season fixture. The game may well be the final opportunity for a number of triallists to make a claim to be signed by the club for the coming season.
The National :League season begins with a home fixture against Braintree Town on Saturday 6 August. Therefore, Ferriby’s management team of Steve Housham and Darryn Stamp now be concentrating on the line-up and tactics for that game.
Tuesday’s win over Barton Town was more comfortable than the 2-0 scoreline suggests. A number of the already signed-on players did not play to allow the opportunity for Housham to look at triallists. As in previous matches, there were regular substitutions throughout the second-half. There are likely to be far fewer at Bridlington
Despite the difference in playing levels, Bridlington will present a challenge. They will need no reminding that they beat The Villagers in last season’s EAST Riding Senior Cup Final in May.
The game at Cleethorpes Town has been brought forward from Saturday 30th July to Friday 29 July with a 7.30 kick-off. This is due to a request from Cleethorpes for the change.
