Bradford PA v NFU (VCN)

Vanarama Conference North
Bradford Park Avenue vNorth Ferriby United
Monday 17 November 2014 ; KO 7.45 pm

Ferriby travel to Bradford Park Avenue for a Vanarama Conference North fixture on Monday.

Ferriby will be boosted by their performance against AFC Fylde on Saturday. The Villagers certainly deserved their point after a very good and consistent team performance. The Villagers were rather unfortunate to not take all three points.

Manager Billy Heath will certainly be hoping for a similar performance against a Bradford side that is struggling at the lower end of the table.

The game will see Grant Black make a quick return to his former club whilst Dan Clayton will face Ferriby after making the opposite move.

The Villagers are currently 10th but are only five points of fifth place and a play-off position. A couple of wins could see The Villagers climb the table. The Bradford game is a game-in-hand on some of the teams above them so it is vital that Ferriby return with at least a point.

Ferriby manager Billy Heath commented, “It will be a difficult game at Bradford. They are always difficult to play against and will be desperate for a win to climb the table. We played very well on Saturday and could have won the game. We hit the bar and were denied a nailed-on penalty. We need to maintain the consistency we showed in both halves against Fylde.”

Danny Emerton is still injured and sees a specialist for a decision on surgery this week. Matt Wilson returns from suspension but danny Hone begins a three game suspension. Tom Denton is doubtful due to a knock to his ankle in Saturday’s game.

NFU’s probable squad : Adam Nicklin, Tom Nicholson, Josh Wilde, Grant Black, Nathan Peat, Gregg Anderson, Matt Wilson, Mark Gray, Adam Bolder, Liam King, Jon D’Laryea, Russell Fry,  Nathan Jarman, Tom Denton, Ryan Kendall, Louis Bruce, Jason St Juste, Jamie Yates
