Bradford PA v NFU (SN)

Bradford Park Avenue v North Ferriby United
The Skrill North

Monday 19 August. Kick-off 7.45pm

The game is the second of four games in 10 days as The Skrill North gets under way with a hectic start.

Ferriby will be looking to build on Saturday’s comprehensive win over Gloucester City. This was The Villagers’ first opening day win since 2005. It was welcome news for a term that has gained a reputation as slow-starters in recent years.

Ferriby controlled the Gloucester game and were rarely tested by the visitors. The game was overa s a contest by half-time with Ferriby leading 3-1. Everybody was expecting Gloucester to come out in the second-half looking to get back in to the game. However, Ferriby’s midfield and defence were superb and closed down at every opportunity.

Bradford are old rivals and will provide a stern test on Monday but Ferriby will go in to the game full of confidence after Saturday’s performance.

Manager Billy Heath said, “It was a really pleasing performance on Saturday. The whole team played well. We denied Gloucester scoring chances and we could probably have scored two or three more.”

Russell Fry picked-up a shoulder injury against Gloucester and is highly doubtful for Monday’s game.

NFU from: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Dean Lisles, Paul Robson, Nathan Peat, Gregg Anderson, Jonathan D’Laryea, Matt Wilson, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Ben Hunter, Jamie Yates, Ryan Kendall, Danny Hone, Nathan Jarman, Anthony Wilson, Louis Kirk

Ferriby are away at Harrogate Town on Saturday. The game kicks-off at 7.45pm.
