U9 Greens Through To Hull Boys FA Futsal National Youth Festival Final

The second Group Stage of the Hull Boys FA Futsal National Youth Festival was held at Warner’s Sports Centre on the 29th March with the U9 Greens competing in a very strong group.

With the team still learning the game of Futsal they were again seen as underdogs to progress to the final group stage, but the boys were in determined mood and once again proved that they were a match for any team on the day.

Some excellent pass and move Futsal was played by every player, with quick throw outs from the keeper catching the opponents out time and time again.

Defence quickly turns to attack in Futsal and the boys supported each other, both in defence and going forward with shots coming from all angles.

After the Group finished there was a nervous wait for players, coaches and parents until the second group was completed later in the day. The team had to wait and see if they had qualified for the final as best 3rd placed team.

Everyone crossed their fingers and toes for a bit of luck……and we got it!!

The team had qualified on goal difference, by only 1 goal!!

A brilliant display from all the boys and a great achievement to reach the final as one of the top 5 teams in the competition!! The winners will represent the ERCFA at the Yorkshire Regionals.

The Final group is to be played on the26th April at Warner’s again.

U9 Greens Through To FA Regional Junior Futsal 2nd Group Stage

The National Junior Futsal Hull & East Riding 1st Group Stage event was held at Warner's Sports Centre on the 18th January and saw the North Ferriby under 9's squad triumph as undefeated winners of their group.

With all the boys new to the game of Futsal and possibly considered as the underdogs against the outstanding teams drawn against them on the day, the boys did themselves, their coaches and North Ferriby United proud as they came away as victorious winners of their group.

The under 9's were drawn in a very tough 1st Group and told to enjoy the games and learn from the other teams who have had more experience in playing Futsal.

The boys took on board the advice given to enjoy and learn but they had brought with them their spirit of teamwork, hard work, sheer grit and determination to win and it paid off when they walked away as cheerful winners of their group and cheered as they were told they were through to the Regional Group Stages.

A really excellent afternoons football from the boys who fully deserved their place at the top of the group and only conceded one goal throughout the Hull & East Riding group stage.

The boys are now through to the Regional 2nd Group Stage held at Warner's Sports Centre on the 29th March.

North Ferriby United Under 9’s Penalty Shoot-Out

A fantastic night of football was enjoyed by all players, coaches and parents of the North Ferriby Utd Under 9’s Greens and Whites teams.

To raise funds for rain jackets both teams were given the opportunity for all their players to take 3 spot kicks against the North Ferriby United Academy Goalkeeper Jordan . First team keeper Adam Nicklin was on hand to put the players through a tough training session to get them into the right frame of mind for the spot kicks. With two top quality goalkeepers present all the boys worked very hard and showed great concentration listening to all they were told. Some top class saves and some really excellent penalties entertained the parents and coaches who had turned out to support both the teams.

Many, many thanks from everyone go to Adam and Jordan for giving up their spare time and helping out.
