Injuries: Matt Wilson, Gregg Anderson and Jon D’Laryea and Dean Lisles

Ferriby travel to Stalybridge Celtic on Wednesday for a re-arranged fixture.  The Villagers know that a win will take them back to the top of the Skrill North on goal difference.

Ferriby beat Stalybridge 2-0 at the Eon Visual Media Stadium just over a fortnight ago and will be expecting a tough game. Stalybridge are next to bottom in the division and need a win themselves if they are to have any chance of avoiding relegation.

The title race looks as if it will be between Ferriby and Telford but both Hednesford and  Altrincham are still in with a chance of finishing top if the Ferriby and Telford falter, The final top-five spot seems to be between Guiseley and Boston United. Anything less than a win against Stalybridge could be a big blow to Ferriby’s title hopes but, despite the injury list, there is a tremendous spirit within the club.

The Villagers remained in second spot following Saturday’s draw at Altrincham. The draw was probably a fair result with Ferriby having the better of the first-half and Altrincham the better of the second.

Following Saturday’s game, Heath commented, “It was a good point but it is always disappointing to concede close to the end. The players put-in a good team performance. The important thing is that we are still in control of our own fate. If we can win at Stalybridge on Wednesday we will go back to the top of the table.”

Manager Billy Heath’s injury crisis has not really subsided. As is common at this stage of the season, some players are playing even though they are carrying injuries.  Heath will definitely be without Matt Wilson, Gregg Anderson and Jon D’Laryea, and Dean Lisles due to injuries. Anthony Wilson returns to the squad following a two-match suspension.
