Paul Robson has returned to Ferriby in the dual role of player and ssistant manager. He was a skilful and strong defender when the club won the Northern Premier League title in 2012-13 and were runners-up in their first season in the Conference North the following season. He played 67 games and scored one goal during that time.
Paul offers his thoughts on a return to The Villagers,
“Having spoke with Bolds I felt it was a brilliant opportunity to join him and help instil our philosophy at the club. Having played under Bolds at Scarborough I know exactly what he brings, which is a brilliant understanding of the game, and a work ethic that is unmatched.
I had a brilliant time at Bridlington, and in a short period of time learnt a lot from the gaffa, Bowes and the staff down there.
I'll be joining Ferriby in an Assistant/Player role.
I know results have been tough recently, but there's definitely talent in this team. It's now our job to change the mentality around the club and give the lads the confidence to express themselves.
Right now I understand the club are currently undergoing a rebuilding process on, and off the pitch, so all I can ask is patience from the fans, and for them to keep behind the lads because hard work is being done behind the scenes.”
