Ferriby take a break from Evostik Northern premier League action when they entertain Worksop Town in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round.
The match provides Ferriby with an opportunity to kick-start their season following a turbulent 12 days. It also presents a chance to boost the Club's finances through prize money and the possibility of a lucrative pay-day if they progress far enough.
Club captain and joint caretaker manager Paul Foot was pleased with his depleted side's performance at league leaders Bradford Park Avenue on Monday. The Villagers made Bradford look second-best for much of the game and were unfortunate to lose.
Foot and joint caretaker manager Justin Whittle will be looking to their players to show the character and attitude that they displayed at Bradford. It was one of the youngest and least experienced teams that Ferriby has fielded at this level. In very testing windy conditions they played some good football that drew much praise from the Bradford fans.
Foot and Whittle will again be short of a number of key players against Worksop. Foot himself, Chris Bolder, Mark Greaves, Nathan Peat and Ben Morley seem to definitely out through injury. Russell Fry is doubtful and John Leonard took a knock and had to be substituted on Monday. Paul Harsley is hoping to be fit enough to play. Sam Denton has rejoined the club after leaving during the close season and will be in the squad.
Possible Ferriby Squad: Steve Wilson, James Williams, Kevin Larvin, Sam Belcher , Greg Wright, Sam Denton, Gary Bradshaw, Wayne Brooksby, Sam Mulready, John Leonard, Mathew Stirland, Danny Wright, Phil Jackman, Ben White, Luke Thompson
