North Ferriby United v Whitby Town
Saturday 3 August. Kick-off 3.00pm
Ferriby welcome Evostik Premier Whitby Town to the Eon Visual Media Stadium on Saturday for their penultimate pre-season friendly.
The Villagers will be looking to pick themselves and win following the midweek setback against Grimsby Town.
Ferriby were disappointed with the result and score-line on Tuesday. The Villagers matched Grimsby for the first 60 minutes but then conceded three goals inside 10 minutes.
This was The Villagers third game in five days, the last two being against two full-time professional sides. If legs may have been a little tired it would have been no surprise.
Ferriby have played some skilful and entertaining football in their matches so far and have drawn praise from both Hull City and Scunthorpe United.
Manager Billy Heath now has only two games left before the opening Skrill North game at home to Gloucester City on 17th August
Heath has used around 22 players in each game so far but he will almost certainly use fewer players against both Whitby and Frickley Athletic. He and Assistant Manager Mark Carroll now need to determine the 16-man squad for the Gloucester game.
Heath should have his full squad to choose from but both Dean Lisles and Jonathan D’Laryea are not yet up to full match fitness as they recover from injuries sustained last season.
NFU from: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Paul Robson, Nathan Peat, Gregg Anderson, Sam Belcher, Jonathan D’Laryea, Matt Wilson, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Ben Hunter, Jamie Yates, Ryan Kendall, Louis, Kirk, Danny Hone, Nathan Jarman, Anthony Wilson, Louis Bruce, Tim Taylor, Tom Davie, Henry Gill
The match kicks-off at 3.00pm. Admission prices are £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
