North Ferriby United v Sheffield FC
Doodson Sport League Challenge Cup 3rd Round
Tuesday 19 February 2013 KO 7.45 pm
Ferriby's much postponed Doodson Sport match against Sheffield has been switched to The Rapid Solicitors Stadium in an attempt to finally get the match played.
Ferriby are defending the trophy they won last season and are looking to become only the third side to retain the cup. The winners travel to Blyth Spartans for a Fourth Round tie.
Promotion remains the priority for the club but manager Billy Heath will be expecting his team to develop a winning mentality when it comes to trophies.
Ferriby will not face striker Jack Muldoon who recently joined Sheffield from Ferriby on loan to the end of the season. The clubs have agreed that he will not play in this game.
Ferriby will be strong favourites and go in to the game with an eight game unbeaten run behind them.
Manager billy Heath was disappointed with his side's performance against Stafford Rangers on Saturday; "A point was about all we deserved from the game. We weren't as sharp as usual". The draw saw Ferriby's lead cut to four points.
Heath will use the Sheffield game as an opportunity to give first team run-outs to some of the Club's Reserve Team players. Antoni Pecora is unavailable and Steve Ridley is doubtful due to illness.
Possible Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin; Gregg Anderson, Paul Foot, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Anthony Wilson, Ryan Kendall, Gary Bradshaw, Oliver Banks, Rob Moy, Louis Kirk; Sam Belcher; Tim Taylor, Ruhandulca Ombeni, Louis Bruce
