North Ferriby United v Marine
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Saturday 10 November 2012 KO 3.00 pm
League leaders Ferriby defend a thirteen game unbeaten league run when they entertain Marine on Saturday. The Villagers have won ten and drawn three of these games. This is Ferriby's best league run since joining the Northern Premier League in 2000.
The Marine game is the first of four consecutive games against the four sides who are immediately behind Ferriby in the table at the moment. As Manager Billy Heath commented, "This is a massive month for us. We will obviously be hoping to pick-up points against the chasing pack."
It is too early for these games to be a defining moment in Ferriby's season but they could go a long way to securing a play-off spot.
Marine are currently in fourth place, seven points behind Ferriby. Matches between the two sides are usually entertaining affairs as both teams like to play positive football.
Heath will be presented with the Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division Manager of the Month award before the game.
Heath took the opportunity to give first team debuts to youngsters Louis Kirk, Ruhandulca Ombeni and Louis Bruce in Tuesday's East Riding Senior Cup win over Hornsea Town. Heath was pleased with the win with Ferriby overturning a half-time deficit to score six times in the second-half. Jack Muldoon's hat-trick will have given him a boost.
Against Marine, Ferriby will be without the injured Gary Bradshaw (hamstring) and Steve Gardner (knee). Paul Foot will be back in the squad following injury. Loan signing Anthony Wilson, who scored twice in last week's win at Nantwich, is set to make his home debut.
Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Sam Belcher, Gregg Anderson, Paul Foot, Dean Lisles, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Jack Muldoon, Anthony Wilson Ryan Kendall, Ben Hunter, Steve Ridley, Tim Taylor
