North Ferriby United v Ilkeston FC
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Tuesday 30th October 2012 KO 7.45 pm
League leaders Ferriby defend an eleven game unbeaten league run when they entertain bottom club Ilkeston FC at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Tuesday. The Villagers have won nine and drawn two of these games. Ferriby are the Division's second highest and also have the meanest defence.
The Villagers will be hoping to put the disappointment of Saturday's FA Trophy at Buxton behind them. On a very uneven pitch, Ferriby were unable to play their fluent passing game with any accuracy. In a game of very few chances to uncharacteristic defensive errors proved costly for Ferriby.
Ilkeston have struggled this season since winning promotion. They have scored only nine league goals in ten games and have lost all five of their away league games.
Billy Heath's side will start clear favourites but they will need to guard against complacency. A win will guarantee the side going into December as league leaders. The promotion battle promises to be a tight affair this season. The table is difficult to read at the moment as cup commitments mean that teams have played differing numbers of games.
Ferriby are in the box-seat as they have the points on the board but any slips are likely to be pounced-on by the teams behind them.
Ferriby will be without the injured Gary Bradshaw (hamstring), Paul Foot (dead-leg), Gregg Anderson (groin), and Steve Gardner (knee).
Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Sam Belcher Dean Lisles, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Jack Muldoon, Ryan Kendall, Ben Hunter, Steve Ridley, Tim Taylor
