North Ferriby United v Hull City u-23
Saturday 15 July 2017
Eon Visual Media Stadium
Ferriby will welcome Hull City’s u-23 side to The Eon Visual Media Stadium for the annual Billy Bly Memorial Trophy game.
Ferriby will be in a fairly buoyant mood after their game against Championship side Leeds United on Wednesday. The Villagers lost 0-2 but they put in a highly creditable performance against Leeds. The visitors fielded their full first team squad and were made to work hard for their victory.
The game is always one of the highlights of Ferriby’s pre-season fixtures and it is hoped a good-sized crowd will turn out even though City will not be fielding their first team.
Ferriby manager Steve Housham was in a happy mood after the Leeds game,
“Once again, we can take a lot of positives from the match. We competed well against one of the best sides in The Championship. The defence and midfield put in strong performances. We were obviously on the defensive for much of the game but we did trouble the Leeds defence at times.
“Saturday’s game will be different in nature and intensity but it will be another good test for the players.”
Possible Ferriby squad: Ross Durrant, Lewis Exall, Jordan Cooke, Jake Skelton, Bobby Johnson, Mark Gray, Jake Picton, Simon Russell, Alberto, Joel Ambula, Joe Pugh, Danny Emerton, Russell Fry, Curtis Bateson, Steve Brogan, Leigh Hutchinson, Kojo Kyei, Ben Bowers, Willy Gnahore, Mitch Allington, Jack Barlow, Eddie Rogerson
