North Ferriby United v Hull City
Billy Bly Memorial Trophy
Monday 16 July. KO 7.30 pm
Ferriby continue their pre-season preparations when they entertain Championship neighbours Hull City in the annual Billy Bly Memorial Trophy match.
The game provides a chance to watch Steve Bruce's first match as City Manager and also gives fans from both clubs a chance to see close season signings.
Ferriby Assistant Manager Mark Carroll said, "We are all looking forward to the match. It's a chance to play in front of a large crowd and there will be a terrific atmosphere inside the ground. The players look forward to playing full-time professional sides; as individuals it is something that they have all aspired to themselves."
This is city's first pre-season fixture but Ferriby go into the game on the back of a 3-0 victory at Barton Town Old boys last Thursday. Manager Billy Heath gave all his fit and available players virtually a full 45 minutes each. He is likely to do the same against City.
Speaking after the victory at Barton Heath commented, "It was good to get a win and keep a clean sheet. The length of the grass made it difficult to play a passing game. Overall, it was a satisfactory performance."
Monday's match is "pay-at-the-gate" with tickets priced at £9 (£5 concessions). There will be the usual catering and bar facilities.
Car parking will be available at North Ferriby CR Primary School at the top of Church Road. The cost will be £2 with all proceeds going to the school.
