NFU v Hull City
Friday 17 July
Kick-off 7.30 pm
North Ferriby continue their pre-season preparations when neighbours Hull City visit the Eon Visual Media Stadium. The two sides will be competing for the Billy Bly Memorial Trophy in this annual pre-season fixture.
City have no pre-season games at the KC Stadium so this match provides a good opportunity for City fans to see their side, and new kit, before the competitive season begins.
Younger fans will not remember Billy Bly who was a wonderful servant to both clubs. This game is always a special occasion. It provides both sets of fans with an opportunity to see the clubs’ close season signings in action. The match, despite being pre-season game, is always competitive but played in the right spirit.
Ferriby Manager Billy Heath comments,
“We are looking forward to the City game. It’s a chance to play in front of a large crowd and there will be a terrific atmosphere inside the ground. The players look forward to playing full-time professional sides; as individuals it is something that they have all aspired to themselves. We are under no illusions as to how difficult a game it will be but the players will certainly be up for it.
“We have looked good in our games so far. The players have worked extremely hard in training. We are looking fit and sharp and we need to keep putting together good performances.”
Heath has rung the changes at half-time in the first two games and he is likely to do the same against City
