North Ferriby United v Hornsea Town
East Riding senior Cup Second Round
Tuesday 6 November 2012 KO 7.45 pm
The Villagers take a break from league action when they entertain Hornsea Town in the East Riding senior Cup on Tuesday.
The Villagers will start hot favourites but Hornsea will be looking to replicate Hessle Ranger's shock win over Ferriby in last season's competition. This was a game where Ferriby had 39 shots to 3 but still lost 2-1.
The competition has no prize money. Winning is more a matter of prestige and having a chance to play at the KC Stadium in the Final.
Ferriby have made the East Riding cup something of their own property in recent seasons. They have won it in 12 times in the last 16 seasons.
Manager Billy Heath will use the game to give pitch-time to players who have generally started games on the substitutes' bench. He will also run the rule over some of the club's younger players. Gary Bradshaw and Paul Foot may be fit enough to get a run-out following injury but Steve Gardner's knee injury keeps him out.
Admission to the game is £2 for adults and £1 for concessions with the usual catering facilities.
Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Sam Belcher, Gregg Anderson, Paul Foot, Louis Mobbs, Dean Lisles, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Jack Muldoon, Ryan Kendall, Gary Bradshaw, Anthony Wilson, Ben Hunter, Steve Ridley, Tim Taylor, Louis Kirk
