North Ferriby v Hednesford Town
Ferriby return to league action when they entertain fifth-placed Hednesford Town at the Rapid Solicitors stadium on Saturday.
Caretaker managers Justin Whittle and Paul Foot will be looking to their players to build on last Saturday's FA Cup victory over Worksop Town. That victory brought an end to a four game losing sequence. The prize money for winning also provided a welcome boost to the clubs finances.
Hednesford will be looking to gain their first ever victory over The Villagers. Ferriby have won five of the six previous encounters. With all Hednesford's team rumoured to be all over six feet tall, Ferriby could be facing an aerial bombardment for much of the afternoon.
If Ferriby continue to play their usual passing-game they should be able to negate their opponents height in defence.
Although results have not necessarily gone Ferriby's way in recent weeks, they have continued to play attractive football.
Ferriby had no midweek game so that will have provided a chance for players to recover from injuries. Hopefully Foot, Chris Bolder, Mark Greaves and Russell Fry will be fit enough to be back in contention for a place in the squad.
Possible Ferriby Squad: Steve Wilson, James Williams, Kevin Larvin, Paul Foot, Mark Greaves,Greg Wright, Sam Denton, Gary Bradshaw, Russell Fry, Chris Bolder, Wayne Brooksby, Sam Mulready, John Leonard, Mathew Stirland, Danny Wright, Phil Jackman
