East Riding Senior Cup Semi-Final
North Ferriby United v Bridlington Town
Tuesday 19th March 2013 KO 7.30 pm at The Roy West Centre, Inglemire Lane, Hull
Ferriby take a break from league action when they play Bridlington Town in the semi-final of the East Riding Senior Cup on Tuesday. The game is being played at the East Riding FA ground on Inglemire Lane in Hull.
Ferriby will start as favourites but Bridlington are the current holders and will be keen to hang on to the trophy. There is a strong friendly rivalry between the two clubs who have met many times over the years.
Ferriby are still in line to win three trophies and Manager Billy Heath will be looking to win them all. He commented, "Every game between now and the end of the season is a big game and it's a great for the club to be in with a chance of winning three competitions."
Ferriby have got in to the habit of winning matches and they will be keen to see that turn in to a habit of regularly winning trophies.
Ferriby's main target this season is promotion and they helped their cause no end on Saturday when they put in a superb performance to win 3-2 at nearest challengers Hednesford Town. This was a comprehensive performance by Ferriby. The Villagers are back in the driving seat as they now lead Hednesford by nine points which means they need to win all three of their games-in-hand to catch Ferriby's points total.
Liam King will definitely miss Tuesday's game due to a badly bruised hip. He played most of the first-half at Hednesford but was substituted as a precaution just before half-time. Heath will probably ring the changes for the game to give starts to players who often start games on the bench. He is also likely to include some of the Club's Reserve team players who are on the fringes of the First team. New loan signing, Rob Youhill from Harrogate Town, is not eligible.
Possible Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin; Gregg Anderson, Steve Gardner, Paul Robson, Paul Foot, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Anthony Wilson, Ryan Kendall, Gary Bradshaw, Steve Ridley, Oliver Banks, Antoni Pecora, Rob Moy, Sam Belcher, Louis Kirk, Louis Bruce
Ferriby Striker Ryan Kendall has been nominated for The Northern Premier League 'Supporters Player of the Year'. Fans and followers of Ferriby can vote for Ryan at http://sgiz.mobi/s3/NPL-Fans-Player-of-the-Season
