North Ferriby Utd (whites) V Beverley Town Dynamo under 13's
Knock out cup semi final.

Seen as one of the biggest games in the u13 season North Ferriby Utd (whites) were drawn against Beverley Town Dynamo in the semi final of the knock out cup.
Beverley, who won league one last season, were the only team to beat Ferriby who came a close second. Again this season, Ferriby sit three points behind Beverley in second place after Beverley hammered Ferriby 5 -1 just before the Christmas break.

A big crowd turned up with many neutrals onlooking to see the two top sides in league one go head to head for a place in the cup final.
North Ferriby, the underdogs coming into this game, had not managed to beat Beverley in the last 3 seasons but changing their formation to a  4-2-3-1 and holding extra training sessions were hopeful of posting a win.

The first half proved to be a real war of attrition with the sides coming in at the break 0 - 0
Ferriby pushed hard in the second half having a couple of early chances, more of the ball and looking the more likely victors as Beverley grew tired having only one substitute to Ferriby's five.

The goal came from a 60 minute penalty after a scramble in the area led to a Beverley hand ball.

Max Brocklesby, Ferriby's regular penalty taker stepped up sending the keeper the wrong way and firing the ball in the back of the net.

The match remained a nervy affair until the final whistle as Beverley pushed for the equalizer with Ferriby's defence standing firm and limiting Beverley to just a few corners.

The team celebrated in the Swan and Cygnet (Swanland) with plenty of sore bodies after a stunning game.
