League leaders Ferriby increased their lead at the top to six points with this comfortable victory. The game was virtually over by half-time as Ferriby led 4-1 at the interval.

Ferriby  dominated the first-half against struggling Stocksbridge. They took the lead after seven minutes when Steels keeper Ben Scott fumbled Russell Fry's corner and the ball went in off Ryan Kendall.

Kendall scored his second after 24 minutes when he latched on to Liam king's pass to slide the ball past Scott.

Another Fry corner after 32 minutes was headed home by Anthony Wilson from close range at the near post.

Alec Denton pulled one back for Stocksbridge after 39 minutes with a shot in to the top corner.

Ferriby immediately regained their three goal advantage when King followed-up Wilson's shot to score from close range.

Stocksbridge had very few scoring opportunities and could possibly have gone in even further behind.

To their credit, Stocksbridge gave a more positive display in the second-half but they were largely limited to shooting from outside the area as Ferriby's midfield and defence closed them down.

Ferriby played some attractive football during the second-half and could have added far more than Oliver Banks's single goal eight minutes from the end. He scored from ten yards after being played-in by Gary Bradshaw.

This was a controlled and dominant performance by Ferriby ahead of next Saturday's match at second-placed Hednesford.
