Nantwich Town v North Ferriby United
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Saturday 3 November 2012 KO 3.00 pm
League leaders Ferriby defend a twelve game unbeaten league run when they visit Nantwich Town on Saturday.
The Villagers have won nine and drawn three of these games. Ferriby are the Division's second highest and also have the meanest defence.
Nantwich are seven points behind Ferriby. They have an impressive away record this season but have struggled at home. The Weaver stadium has not proved a happy hunting-ground for Ferriby but billy Heath will be hoping to return with at least a point.
Ferriby's league form has resulted in Billy Heath being named the October Manager of the Month in the Evostik Premier Division.
Despite only drawing with Ilkeston on Tuesday, Ferriby actually increased their lead at the top of the table. The Villagers needed a late equaliser from Ryan Kendall to gain their point in a game that they perhaps deserved to win.
Heath was pleased with the chances his side created. Ferriby exerted a great deal of pressure on Ilkeston who defended stubbornly. Ferriby now seem to display a determination and patience that shows a belief in their ability to score goals. The team is now getting into the habit of scoring goals late in a game, This is something of a new experience for Ferriby fans over the years.
Ferriby will be without the injured Gary Bradshaw (hamstring), Paul Foot (dead-leg) and Steve Gardner (knee). Liam King was substituted after receiving a dead-leg on Tuesday and is also doubtful. Gregg Anderson may well be fit enough to play after recovering from a groin injury.
Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Sam Belcher, Gregg Anderson, Dean Lisles, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Jack Muldoon, Ryan Kendall, Ben Hunter, Steve Ridley, Tim Taylor
