Saturday 17th December 3.00pm
Nantwich Town v North Ferriby United
Ferriby travel to Cheshire to play Nantwich Town in an Evostik League Premier Division match on Saturday.
Ferriby will be looking to build on Tuesday's excellent League victory over fifth placed Bradford Park Avenue. The win saw Ferriby continue their climb up the table. Nantwich are currently one place and two points above The Villagers in mid-table.
Ferriby Manager Billy Heath was pleased with Tuesday's result against Bradford, "It was a physically hard game but we deserved the win."
Heath was delighted with the way his players bounced back from Saturday's FA Trophy defeat. The displayed character and resilience to put in a good all-round performance against a physical Bradford side.
The focus of the season is now on finishing as high as possible in the table and developing a side to take the club forward nest season.
The Bradford match saw Paul Harsley (knee), Ben Morley (broken toe) and Wayne Brooksby (ankle and calf) all pick-up injuries and they will almost certainly miss Saturday's game Paul Foot is doubtful with a hamstring injury. Adam Nicklin may be fit to return to the squad. Nathan Peat is still suspended.
Saturday will be a stern test for Heath's small squad given the list of injuries and suspensions. His attempts to sign players are being hampered by the "seven day rule" which requires clubs to give seven days notice to a player's club that they wish to sign him. Clubs can, and do, waive the notice period but none appear to want to do so at the moment.
Probable Ferriby Squad: Steve Wilson, Adam Nicklin, Anthony Lloyd, James Bennett, James Williams, Kevin Larvin, Paul Foot, Sam Denton, Chris Bolder, Peter Davidson, Russell Fry, Gary Bradshaw, Alex Davidson, Danny Clarke, Luke Thompson, Sam Belcher, Rob Moy, Luke Thompson
