Saturday 10th March 3.00pm
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Marine v North Ferriby United
Ferriby travel to promotion hopefuls Marine on Saturday for an Evostik League Premier Division match.
The Villagers will be looking for a hat-trick of victories after beating Kendal town and Ashton united in the last week.
Marine are currently in sixth place but have played more games than the teams above them. A win is vital for them if they are to continue in the promotion race.
Marine are never an easy team to play against and The Villagers know they will be in for a testing afternoon.
Following the midweek win at Ashton, Ferriby are now up to twelfth in the table and will be looking for points to take them in to the top half of the table.
After the Ashton match, Manager Billy Heath commented, "It was a superb team performance against Ashton. We showed a lot of skill, determination and commitment in difficult conditions and deserved the win."
Lee Morris's first goal for the club clinched the points at Ashton. The Villagers were the better team on the evening. The pitch and the weather, in the first half, meant it was a night for digging deep. The team played some attractive football and defended well from high up the field to make life difficult for the home team.
With a bit of luck, Heath will have a virtually full squad to choose from on Saturday. Chris Bolder completes his three match suspension so is unavailable. Wayne Brooksby may be fit to play after missing the Ashton game with an ankle injury. Danny Clarke was a late withdrawal on Wednesday through illness and it is hoped he will have recovered in time for Marine.
Probable Ferriby Squad: Adam Nicklin, Rob Moy, Steve Wilson, Dominic Riordan, Nathan Peat, Paul Foot, James Williams, Sam Denton, Steve Gardner, Kevin Larvin, Gregg Anderson, Russell Fry, Gary Bradshaw, Lee Morris, Ben Hunter, Timothy Taylor, Danny Clarke, Tom Richardson, Wayne Brooksby
