Saturday 11th February 3.00pm
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Hednesford Town v North Ferriby United
Ferriby are due to travel to promotion chasing Hednesford Town on Saturday. However with snow and sub-zero temperatures forecast for the end of the week the match must be in doubt. The Evostik League does not normally allow matches to be called-off until the actual day so no decision is expected until mid-morning on Saturday.
Ferriby manager Billy Heath will be keen for his team to play their first match for a fortnight. The Villagers have not played since their defeat at Stocksbridge. Heath will be wanting his players to retain their match fitness and regain their usual attitude and performance.
Hednesford are a big and physically strong side and will provide a huge test for Ferriby. The match provides an opportunity for Ferriby to put the Stocksbridge defeat behind them.
Ferriby probably need another 12 points to retain their place in the Evostik Premier Division. It certainly is not beyond them, especially as they have games in hand on most of the teams below them.
Nathan Peat is available again following suspension and Sam Denton has recovered from his leg injury. Recent signing Lee Morris will remain in the squad. In taddition to the recent depatures of Paul Harsley and Anthony Lloyd, James Bennett has also left the club.
Probable Ferriby Squad: Steve Wilson, Adam Nicklin, Dominic Riordan, Nathan Peat, Sam Denton, Paul Foot, James Williams, Kevin Larvin, Gregg Anderson, Alex Davidson, Russell Fry, Chris Bolder, Wayne Brooksby, Gary Bradshaw, Timothy Taylor, Danny Clarke, Sam Belcher, Luke Thompson
Ferriby are scheduled to play Bradford Park Avenue in the Doodson Sport League Cup quarter-final at the Rapid Solicitors stadium next Wednesday evening. The match is being played on Wednesday as Bradford have to play another cup-tie on Monday.
