Hall Road Rangers v NFU (PSF)

Pre-season friendly

Hall Road Rangers

Saturday 9 July 2016

 Kick-off: 3 pm

New Ferriby manager Steve Housham will see his players in  match action for the first time on Saturday as Ferriby make the short trip to Hall Road Rangers for their first pre-season friendly.

Pre-season games basically serve two purposes. They enable players to build-up match fitness ahead of the regular season and managers are able to evaluate their players and potential players.

Assistant Manager Darryn Stamp says,

“The players have done everything we have asked of them in our training sessions so far. We are trying to pick-up the pace steadily and will be looking to give everybody 45 minutes on Saturday.

“Steve (Housham) and myself will have the opportunity to look at all our players in action. The game gives us the chance to look at our trialists, as well.

“over the rest of the pre-season games we will build-up to players playing 90 minutes. It’s important to be ready for the first league game and not to peak too early with our preparations.”

Despite a number of players transferring and retiring, there will be familiar faces on view for Ferriby.
