Hall Road Rangers v North Ferriby United
East Riding Senior Cup 2nd Round
Tuesday 26 November
Kick-off 7.45 pm
North Ferriby United make the short trip to Hall Road Rangers on Tuesday for an East Riding Senior Cup game. The game will see a big change in atmosphere compared to Ferriby’s Skrill North league win at Stockport County. The 2500 Stockport fans were upset by The Villagers win which was rather more comprehensive than the score-line may suggest.
Ferriby will start as massive favourites against Hall Road. Following last season’s promotion for Ferriby and relegation for Rangers there is now a four division gap between the two clubs.
Rangers have a relatively young side that has put together some decent results in the Northern Counties East First Division. Ferriby are third in the Skrill North where the four top clubs are level on 32 points.
Ferriby Manager Billy Heath will be expecting his team to put in a professional performance, “The Senior Cup provides the players with a chance to win a trophy and to finish the season with a cup final appearance at the KC Stadium. We are now getting back to our best form. We were outstanding at Stockport on Saturday and it was a superb team performance. We will start as favourites but we will not be underestimating Hall Road.”
Heath should have a full squad to choose from apart from Dean Lisles and Mark Gray who are both injured. Danny Hone returns to the squad following a one game suspension. Heath will probably use the game to give game time to some of the players in his squad who do not normally start.
