FA TROPHY HOLDERS 2015 & NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH PLAY-OFF CHAMPIONS 2016

Gainsborough Trinity v NFU (SN)

Gainsborough Trinity v  North Ferriby United
Skrill North
Tuesday 11th   March
Kick-Off 7.45 pm

Ferriby travel to Gainsborough on Tuesday hoping that the game is finally played. The first game as abandoned and the rearranged game was postponed.

Saturday’s comprehensive win at struggling Histon cemented The Villagers’ second-place in Skrill North. Manager Billy Heath will be looking for a similar performance at Gainsborough. Ferriby are in a very secure position in the play-off spots as they are 10 points ahead of the three clubs in sixth, seventh and eight positions.

Tuesday’s match is Ferriby’s game-in-hand on leaders AFC Telford. A win will take The Villagers back to the top of the table by a point.

The Lincolnshire side are not having the best of seasons but they had a very good 3-1 win at promotion chasing Hednesford on Saturday.  They are 15th in the table and look set to finiah in a comfortable mid-table slot.

Striker Anthony Wilson returns to the squad following his four game suspension. New signings Lewis mcmahon, Danny Emerton and Josh Wilde will remain in the squad.  Manager Billy Heath is delighted with the way that the new players are settling in to the squad. All three had a big impact at Histon on Saturday. He commented, “It was another very good all-round team performance that keep our momentum going. There are still a lot of games to go and we will just be taking them one game at a time.”

Heath will be without the injured Dean Lisles, Gregg Anderson and Jon D’Laryea at Gainsborough.

NFU from: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Josh Wilde, Paul Robson, Nathan Peat, Matt Wilson, Danny Hone, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke,  Nathan Jarman, Ryan Kendall, Jamie Yates, Paul Robson, Mark Gray, Lewis McMahon, Danny Emerton,
