Frickley Athletic v North Ferriby United
FA Trophy First Qualifying Round
Saturday 29 September 2012 KO 3.00 pm
North Ferriby United travel to Frickley Athletic in the First qualifying Round of the the FA Trophy on Saturday.
It is a return to a previous club for management duo Billy Heath and Mark Carroll. Whilst they would like to beat their former club, they both accept that their main motivation is a win for Ferriby.
Frickley have struggled so far this season and were beaten 4-0 at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium in August.
However, Heath and Carroll will be taking nothing for granted. They were bitterly disappointed with the team's shock defeat to Ossett Albion in the FA Cup last Saturday. This was a poor performance by Ferriby. The Villagers should have taken the game by the scruff of the neck after taking the lead in the fifth minute. Instead, they played well below their ability and were deservedly beaten by a determined Ossett.
Heath and Carroll will be expecting a positive response at Frickley. The home side will be buoyed by their unexpected FA Cup win at Chorley last Saturday. Ferriby are capable of progressing but the attitude of the players needs to be right as Frickley is a place where wins usually have to be ground out.
It remains to be seen if Heath will ring the changes after last week's performance but he should have a full squad to choose from.
Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Dean Lisles, Nathan Peat, Paul Foot, Gregg Anderson, Gary Bradshaw, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Mark Gray, Jack Muldoon, Liam King, Ryan Kendall, Timothy Taylor Chris Bolder, Ben Hunter, Ryan Williams, Steve Gardner, Steve Ridley, Danny Clarke.
