FA TROPHY HOLDERS 2015 & NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH PLAY-OFF CHAMPIONS 2016

Eastwood Town v NFU (DSLCC 5)

Eastwood Town v North Ferriby United
Doodson Sport League Challenge Cup 5th Round
Tuesday 12 March 2013 KO 7.45 pm

It is bottom v top in the Doodson Sport League Cup when leaders Ferriby travel to bottom club Eastwood Town.

Ferriby are defending the trophy they won last season and are looking to become only the third side to retain the cup.

Eastwood are having a desperate season and conceded their 100th goal in the league on Saturday. They are almost certain to be relegated at the end of the season.

Promotion remains the priority for Ferriby but manager Billy Heath will be expecting his team to develop a winning mentality when it comes to trophies and will be expecting his team to put in a match-winning performance.

Ferriby will be strong favourites and go in to the game having scored none goals in their last two games. However, the Doodson sport cup is now eastwood's only chance of success this season so they are certain to put in a big effort.

Ferriby Manager Billy Heath was pleased with his side's 5-1 demolition of Stocksbridge on Saturday, "We put in a good performance today, especially in the first-half. We were patient and created plenty of opportunities."

It was a good day all-round for Ferriby as nearest title rivals Hednesford Town and FC United both dropped points.

Heath should have a full-squad to choose from. Liam King went-off with a hip injury and may not be risked ahead of Saturday's vital league match at Hednesford. Heath will probably give starts to those players who are regularly on the bench. There could also be an opportunity for some of the Reserve players to be in the squad.

Possible Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin; Gregg Anderson,Steve Gardner, Paul Robson, Paul Foot, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Anthony Wilson, Ryan Kendall, Gary Bradshaw, Oliver Banks, Louis Kirk; Sam Belcher; Tim Taylor, Ruhandulca Ombeni, Louis Bruce

Admission prices at Eastwood have been reduced to £5, £3 and £1 in an attempt to boost the attendance.
