Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Chasetown v North Ferriby United
Ferriby travel to the West Midlands for the second successive to play relegation-threatened Chasetown. It will be another challenging fixture for Billy Heath's side. Anything less than a win for Chasetown will probably see them relegated to Division One South.
The Easter weekend saw Ferriby get four points from their two fixtures. The League Cup Final dress rehearsal at Rushall Olympic was played on a poor pitch that limited The Villagers' attempts to play passing football. The one-all draw was probably a fair result in the end.
On Monday, a Wayne Brooksby goal deepened Whitby's relegation troubles as Ferriby gained a more comfortable win than the 1-0 scoreline suggests. AS manager Billy Heath commented, "We had enough chances to win two or three games!"
Although Ferriby have one eye on the League Cup Final, Heath will not allow his team to be distracted from their remaining league fixtures. Heath is looking for a top ten finish and eighth place is still a possibility. After the trials and tribulations at the Club earlier in the season a top ten finish will be seen as acceptable.
Chasetown will battle all the way on Saturday and it is going to be a tough and tense encounter. The Villagers have been creating chances in recent games but have found scoring from them less easy. Heath will be hoping that will change on Saturday.
Steve Gardner is available again after suspension. Kevin Larvin is injured and may be out until the Doodson Sport League Cup Final on 28 April.
Probable Ferriby Squad: Adam Nicklin, Steve Wilson, Steve Gardner, Nathan Peat, Paul Foot, James Williams, Sam Denton, Gregg Anderson, Chris Bolder, Russell Fry, Lee Morris,Gary Bradshaw, Ben Hunter, Timothy Taylor, Danny Clarke, Wayne Brooksby, Sam Belcher
The Club is running at least one supporters' coach to the League Cup Final at Eastwood Town on Saturday 28 April. Bookings can be made via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by contacting any committee member.
