FA TROPHY HOLDERS 2015 & NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH PLAY-OFF CHAMPIONS 2016

Brigg Town v NFU (PSF)

Pre-season Friendly

BriggTown v North Ferriby United

Saturday 19th July, 7.45 pm

Ferriby continue their pre-season programme when they make the short trip to Evostik South side Brigg Town on Saturday. This is third of seven fixtures as The Villagers prepare for their second season in the Conference North.

Ferriby were totally dominant against Selby Town in midweek and gained a comfortable 7-0 win. Adam Bolder scored a hat-trick with Tom Corner and Nathan Jarman each scoring twice.

Ferriby’s defence was rarely troubled and the midfield overran the home side.

Manager Billy Heath again took the opportunity to give all his players a game. Ferriby were both fitter and physically stronger than Selby and gave a thoroughly professional performance.

Heath commented, “It was another good performance. The finishing was clinical and we were strong in every area of the field.”

The new signings have settled-in quickly and Heath certainly has a number of options  in terms of player combinations and formations. There could be some interesting and changing line-ups once the regular season starts.

Jamie Yates will not play at Selby as he is continuing his recovery from the ankle injury he sustained at the end of last season. Yates said, “The ankle is healing well and I’m back in training but need another week or 10 days before playing.”

Liam King and Jamie Yates will probably be left-out of the squad on Saturday to give them a little more time to recover from the injuries that they received at the end of last season.

NFU’s probable squad : Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Dean Lisles, Josh Wilde, Nathan Peat, Gregg Anderson, Matt Wilson, Danny Hone, Mark Gray, Jon D’Laryea, Adam Bolder, Danny Emerton, Russell Fry,  Nathan Jarman, Tom Denton, Tom Corner, Louis Bruce, Tim Taylor, Dan Clayton, Mark Kingston

Tickets for the Hull City fixture are priced at £12 adults and £6 concessions and are now on sale at North Ferriby post Office, North Ferriby United’s Sportsbar and the KC Stadium ticket office.
