FA TROPHY HOLDERS 2015 & NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH PLAY-OFF CHAMPIONS 2016

Brackley Town v NFU (SN)

Brackley Town v North Ferriby United
The Skrill North

Saturday 31st  August. Kick-off 3.00pm

Ferriby Make the long trip to Northamptonshire to play Brackley Town on Saturday. This will be The Villagers first ever game against Brackley.

The game pitches third against fourth and should be an interesting contest. Brackley are unbeaten and have yet to concede a goal. Brackley have score only five goals in their four games so far. However, they clearly have a tight defence that Ferriby’s strike force will threaten seriously.

Monday’s performance against Boston United was a fine all-round team performance. The defence was solid, the midfield probed and prompted all through the game and the forwards were always a threat.

It was the response Manager Bill Heath was looking for after Saturday’s defeat at Harrogate. Heath will be looking for at least a point at Brackley as his side looks to consolidate their positive start to the season.

Heath commented, “I’m looking for a similar performance at Brackley as we gave against Boston. My target for the first four games was eight points so I’m obviously delighted to have done better than that. We now need to build on this on Saturday.”

Apart from Matt Wilson who is still injured, Heath should have a full squad to choose from.

NFU from: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Dean Lisles, Paul Robson, Nathan Peat, Gregg Anderson, Danny Hone, Jonathan D’Laryea, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Ben Hunter, Jamie Yates, Ryan Kendall, Nathan Jarman, Anthony Wilson, Sam Belcher
